    Steve Jovonovich, M.D. PGY-4

    Dr. Jovonovich grew up in northwest Indiana. He studied Chemical Engineering at Purdue University and spent several years in the chemical and semiconductor industries, mainly in Northern California, before getting his medical degree from Saint Louis University. He and his wife Tamara enjoy spending time with their twin girls and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, running, skiing, and biking.


    Nate Thompson, D.O. PGY-4

    Dr. Thompson grew up in Bothwell, Utah. He graduated from Weber State University with a BA in German in 2005 and his medical degree from Des Moines University. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, RC airplanes, and anything outdoors.


    Beth Settembre, M.D., PGY-3

    Dr. Nunemaker is originally from Rose Hill, KS. She attended Vanderbilt University, receiving a BA in Chemistry in 2006. She then completed her medical education at Washington University in St. Louis. In her free time, she enjoys biking, movies, traveling horseback riding, and playing with her two dogs.   


    Kieran Sultan, M.D. PGY-2

    Dr. Sultan grew up in Fort Myers, FL. In 2007 she graduated from The George Washington University in Washington D.C., where she studied History and Biology. Kieran received her medical degree from St. Matthew's University in 2011. In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, movies, soccer and the outdoors.


    Kelly Mrachek, M.D. PGY-2
    Dr. Mrachek grew up in Alexander, ND. In 2008, he graduated cum laude from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, with honors in biology. Kelly pursued his medical education at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE, receiving his M.D. degree in 2012. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, football, hunting, fishing, barbeque food, movies, and keeping up with the family farm.


    Sheva Khalafbeigi, M.D. PGY-1
    Dr. Khalafbeigi is from Anaheim Hills, California. She graduated from University of Southern California with a BS in Kinesiology, while being part of both USC Women's Swimming and USC Women's Water polo teams. She earned her medical degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico. Dr. Khalafbeigi enjoys swimming, surfing, and loves animals.


    Jim Atkinson, D.O. PGY-1
    Dr. Atkinson grew up in Normal, IL and Ft. Collins, CO.  He graduated from Pensacola Christian College in 2004 with a BS in pre-medicine and pursued an MS in biomedical sciences and then his medical degree at Midwestern University, Glendale.  In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children as well as hiking, fishing, camping, and hunting.
