  • Dr. Laura KissellDr. Laura Kissell is board-certified in general and vascular surgery. She has practiced vascular surgery in Colorado Springs for more than five years after completing her general surgery residency and fellowships at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to a vascular surgery fellowship, Dr. Kissell completed a formal fellowship in Interventional Radiology which gives her a unique perspective and additional skills to apply to her practice. She specializes in wound care and also treats patients at the Penrose-St. Francis Wound Clinic.
    Dr. Matt HinderlandDr. Hinderland has been practicing in Colorado Springs since 2014. He attended Arizona State University, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Biology.  He then went on to obtain his medical degree from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.  Following graduation, he completed a three year surgical residency at Highlands/Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center Podiatric Residency in Denver, Colorado, where he trained in all aspects of wound management including the use of total contact casting to treat neuropathic wounds. Dr. Hinderland is Board Certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both foot surgery and reconstructive rear foot and ankle surgery.  He has advanced training in deformity correction including Charcot reconstruction, ankle replacements, arthroscopy, and foot and ankle trauma. He has also published in the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery.
    Dr. Judd DavisDr. Judd Davis is a Colorado native, born and raised in Colorado Springs. He attended Manitou Springs High School and went on to earn a B.A. in molecular biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1998. Following that Dr. Davis earned a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine located in Chicago in 2002, graduating valedictorian. He then completed a three year residency training program based out of the University of Utah/Salt Lake City VA medical systems. This provided him with extensive training in both conservative and surgical treatment of foot and ankle disorders. In 2006 he started private practice in Colorado Springs with a satellite clinic in Woodland Park. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in foot, rear foot reconstructive, and ankle surgery. In his free time he enjoys playing ice hockey, fly fishing, archery, and spending time with family.
  • Our two podiatrists, Dr. Judd Davis and Dr. Matt Hinderland have skills in treating lower leg and foot wounds.  We also provide wound vacuum care for post-surgical wounds, and with Dr. Judd Davis a special treatment technique, called, "Total Contact Casting," which is used to provide quicker healing for diabetic foot wounds.
