Nutrition Counseling
Nutrition Counseling/Medical Nutrition Therapy is the assessment of the nutrition status of a patient with a condition, illness or injury that puts them at nutrition risk. It may include review and analysis of medical, lifestyle and dietary histories, laboratory test values and body measurements.

- GI complaints/malabsorption
- Celiac disease
- Crohn's disease
- Ulcerative colitis - High blood pressure
- High cholesterol/high triglycerides

- Pediatric feeding concerns
- Pregnancy complications
- Bariatric surgery nutrition
Other Nutritional Services
Individual counseling and group education classes are also available to help promote optimal health and well-being. Examples of classes available include:
- Cardiac health
- Portion distortion
- Meal planning and preparation
- Nutrition and pregnancy
- Sports nutrition
- Nutrition supplements
Program Information
Our services can be accessed with or without a physician's referral. Individual counseling involves one-on-one session(s) with the registered dietitian. MNT therapies often include multiple sessions to enhance learning and achieve the desired results. Insurance may or may not cover nutrition services even with a physician referral. Patients will be responsible for any balance not covered by insurance.
