Ben Wetzel, M.D. PGY-4

Dr. Wetzel is originally from Portland, OR. He graduated from the University of Portland with a BS in Biology in 2005 and received his medical degree from Oregon Health and Science University. Ben specializes in trivial information about the great state of Oregon. When away from the hospital he enjoys spending time with his wife, Jillian, and their four children. He also enjoys fishing, hiking, cooking, eating, 80s music, and serious board games. Dr. Wetzel will be pursuing a fellowship in Hematopathology at the University of New Mexico.

Drake Poeschl, M.D. PGY-4

Dr. Poeschl grew up in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 2004 with majors in Biology and Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology. He then pursued his graduate education at Saint Louis University where he also completed a post-sophomore fellowship in pathology. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, traveling, fishing, and fantasy football. Dr. Poeschl will be pursuing a fellowship in Dermatopathology at Saint Louis University beginning July 2013.

Steve Jovonovich, M.D. PGY-3

Dr. Jovonovich grew up in northwest Indiana. He studied Chemical Engineering at Purdue University and spent several years in the chemical and semiconductor industries, mainly in Northern California, before getting his medical degree from Saint Louis University. He and his wife Tamara enjoy spending time with their twin girls and enjoy outdoor activities like hiking, running, skiing, and biking.

Nate Thompson, D.O. PGY-3

Dr. Thompson grew up in Bothwell, Utah. He graduated from Weber State University with a BA in German in 2005 and his medical degree from Des Moines University. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, woodworking, RC airplanes, and anything outdoors.

Len Haberman, M.D. PGY-2

Dr. Haberman is originally from Brooklyn, New York. He received a B.A. degree in Chemistry and Biology from New York University in 1981 and went on to earn a PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota in 1987. After working for a petrochemical company as a researcher, a member of business leadership and earning an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003, Dr. Haberman pursued his medical education at Texas Tech University. He graduated in 2009. In his spare time, Dr. Haberman travels and cares for exotic birds.

Beth Nunemaker, M.D., PGY-2

Dr. Nunemaker is originally from Rose Hill, KS. She attended Vanderbilt University, receiving a BA in Chemistry in 2006. She then completed her medical education at Washington University in St. Louis. In her free time, she enjoys biking, movies, traveling horseback riding, and playing with her two dogs.   

 

Ahmed El-Emawy, M.D. PGY-1

Dr. EL-Emawy was born in Cairo, Egypt. He graduated from the University of New Mexico with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. He then pursued Medical School at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, exercising, hiking, and doing anything outdoors.

Kieran Sultan, M.D. PGY-1

Dr. Sultan grew up in Fort Myers, FL. In 2007 she graduated from The George Washington University in Washington D.C., where she studied History and Biology. Kieran received her medical degree from St. Matthew's University in 2011. In her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, movies, soccer and the outdoors.
