The emergency departments at Penrose Hospital and St. Francis Medical Center are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and are staffed by highly skilled emergency medicine physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, emergency technicians and laboratory, radiology and pulmonary medicine professionals. In response to every emergency, our emergency care team provides the broadest spectrum of care on the spot while striving to always give that personal, loving touch. St. Francis Medical Center is home to the only full-service emergency department in northern El Paso County.
Our emergency departments provide a full-spectrum of services for our patients including primary stroke care, cardiac care, medical imaging, laboratory services, urgent care and trauma. So whatever your health care need, we are here for you. In 2010, our emergency departments cared for more than 83,000 patients.
