St. Francis Medical Center is one of four home-base locations for Centura Health's Flight For Life® Colorado. This critical care transport system includes four helicopters, three ambulances and two airplanes, which transport patients to the most appropriate hospital within Colorado.

Since 1972, the Flight For Life® Colorado team has grown into a comprehensive air medical service that assists in aerial searches and avalanche rescue programs. Spanning nine states in the Rocky Mountain Region, Flight For Life® Colorado specializes in neonatal, high risk obstetrical, intra-aortic balloon pump and mountain rescue transports.
