At Penrose-St. Francis Health services we offer a broad spectrum of imaging services including CT, angiography, ultrasound, mammography and nuclear medicine. We offer MRI and PET scanning through our partnership with PENRAD imaging.

We also have a Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) is a computer system that captures, stores, distributes and displays medical images and relevant patient information. Electronic images and reports are transmitted digitally via the storage system PACS providing near-instant access from multiple locations.

Because the system is web-based your doctor can access the images through a secured site on the Internet from their home or office. They don’t have to be physically in the hospital to view the images.

As a patient, if you need a copy of your image or radiologist report, you would receive it on a CD that you could keep rather than a film that you have to check out and return.
