Penrose HospitalPenrose Hospital is the anchor hospital of Penrose-St. Francis Health Services. With 364 licensed beds, Penrose Hospital provides secondary and tertiary (high tech) medical-surgical services with emphasis on elective and outpatient care. Established in 1890 as a tuberculosis sanatorium, Penrose Hospital has grown to become a major health treatment and referral center, specializing in cancer care, cardiac care, emergency trauma care and physical rehabilitation. |

St. Francis Medical CenterSt. Franics Medical Center opened in August 2008. This 158-bed facility is the only full-service hospital in Northern Colorado Springs and features a modern Birth Center, Level IIIA Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Care Unit, Emergency Department, Level IV Trauma Center, Imaging Services, Surgical Services, and Critical Care Unit. It is also the home base for the Flight For Life Colorado air ambulance helicopter service. |

St. Francis Health CenterSt. Francis Health Center was established in 1887 and was the first hospital in Colorado Springs. Today, the primary emphasis of St. Francis Health Center is on Behavioral Health Services, providing inpatient and outpatient treatment to those suffering from psychiatric and/or chemical dependency problems; and Outpatient Rehabilitation. This facility also houses the Sleep Disorders Center, Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care, Catholic Charities of Colorado Springs and the Penrose-St. Francis Clinical Pastoral Education Program. |
