Martha Grubaugh, RN, MS

Martha comes to Penrose-St. Francis from the Bon Secours Health System in Richmond, VA., where she was the service line director for Women’s and Children’s Services, having responsibility for six hospitals within the system. Prior to this, she was the Women’s and Children’s Service Line Director at Sutton Children’s Hospital, part of CHRISTUS Health, in Shreveport, LA.
Martha is responsible for the planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and evaluation of Nursing Services across the health care continuum at SFMC, and integrates Nursing Services with all hospital services and functions. She’ll has the authority and responsibility for developing organization-wide patient care programs, policies and procedures that describe how patients’ nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated and met.
Martha has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pa., and a Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration and Health Care Services from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Mich. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives (AONE).
