Our Surgeons

Penrose-St. Francis Health Services welcomes local and established vascular surgeons, Dr. Thomas Crepps, Jr. and Dr. Laura Kissell, to Penrose Cardio, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. Both surgeons have vast expertise and experience in diagnosing and treating common, complex and rare vascular diseases, as well as in traditional open and endovascular procedures. We’re honored to have them as a part of our outstanding vascular program.

 

Dr. Crepps

Thomas Crepps, Jr., M.D.

Dr. Crepps in board-certified in vasular surgery and brings more than 22 years of surgical experience to Penrose Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery. He attended Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, NH, completed his residency in general surgery at the University of Connecticut - Hartford Hospital, and his fellowship in vascular surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  Dr. Crepps has several professional publications to his credit.   

Dr. Kissell

Laura Kissell, M.D., FACS

Dr. Kissell is board-certified in general and vascular surgery. She has practiced vascular surgery in Colorado Springs for more than five years after completing her general surgery residency and fellowships at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In addition to a vascular surgery fellowship, Dr. Kissell completed a formal fellowship in Interventional Radiology which gives her a unique perspective and additional skills to apply to her practice. She specializes in wound care and also treats patients at the Penrose-St. Francis Wound Clinic.
