Conversations with Women is an interactive lecture series focusing on women's health issues.

  • Pelvic Pain & Urinary Incontinence

    Pelvic pain and urinary incontinence are two of the most common problems caused by pelvic floor dysfunction, which has been estimated to affect women of all ages and lifestyles. These problems can lead to sitting or walking difficulties, urine leakage and painful intercourse.  Dr. Scott Russell, obstetrician/gynecologist and Debbie Gillis, physical therapist, will explain the causes, diagnosis and latest treatment options for pelvic pain and urinary incontinence. You’ll also learn simple exercise tips to help prevent and manage symptoms associated with pelvic floor dysfunction. Refreshments will be provided. To register, call 776-5052.  

  • Metabolic Syndrome
    Tuesday, June 8, 2010
    6 - 8 p.m.
    Cost: FREE
    Dr. Michael Koren, endocrinologist, along with dietitians, exercise physiologists and lifestyle counselors, will help you understand what metabolic syndrome is, what causes it and how you can reverse its deadly path. To register, call 776-3600.

    Penrose-St. Francis associates and community members are welcome to participate in our exciting fitness classes offered through the Wellness Department/Health Improvement Incentive Program (HIIP).  Check out the list below for information on our wellness classes that are open to the public.
