  • Gary Klein MDDr. Klein is board-certified in family medicine and brings more than 30 years to Penrose-St. Francis Primary Care. He attended medical school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Medicine and his residency at the University of Nebraska College of Medicine Family Practice Residency Program. He is a member of the El Paso County Medical Society, Colorado Medical Society, American Academy of Family Physicians, and the American Medical Association. He has a special interest in lipidology, high level cholesterol tests and helping develop these new tests. In his spare time he likes long distance bike riding and running, sports car racing, instructing high performance track driving, skiing, backpacking and enjoying time with family and good friends.
    Dr. Emily ValentaDr. Valenta is a board certified family practice physician. Dr. Valenta received her medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and also completed her residency in research family medicine. Integrative medicine was an area of emphasis in her training and she enjoys educating patients regarding these topics. Dr. Valenta enjoys volunteering for mission trips, diabetes counseling, and Habitat for Humanity. When not caring for patients she loves skiing, hiking and any other outdoor activities.
    Dr. Dominique Walker

    Dr. Walker is a family practice physician who cares and strongly believes in the power of prevention. Her patients are of all ages with a special emphasis on the elderly. She received her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, and studied chiropractic medicine at the Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Walker completed her residency at the University of Wyoming Family Practice Program in Casper. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Medical Directors Association Futures Program. She enjoys discovering the splendors of Colorado with her husband, Steve. Her hobbies include knitting, painting, reading, running and cooking.

    Kelly CosbyKelly is a Family Nurse Practitioner certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Alabama. Later she returned to The University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received her Master of Science in Nursing, focusing on family primary care. Kelly is relocating from a large pediatric practice in Alabama where she cared for newborns to young adults. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Cale, and their two boys, Colter and Colin. As a healthcare provider, she strives to provide compassionate and individualized care, while building a healthy relationship with all members of the family. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys gardening, hiking and music. She is excited to be part of the Centura Health team and to call Colorado home!
    Heather Manning

    Graduating with her Masters in Science at Regis University of Denver, Heather Manning is licensed in Colorado and certified by the American Board of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She enjoys helping patients of all ages obtain optimal health at every stage of life by working together to achieve their health goals. As a longtime resident of Colorado, she enjoys the outdoors and all the adventure that can be found in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.

    Sharon Ortiz ANPSharon is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner with more than 11 years of experience. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the former University of Southern Colorado (now CSU Pueblo), and her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado. Her special interests include chronic disease management, geriatrics, and women's health. A Colorado native, in her spare time she enjoys biking, ATV riding, camping, fishing, and traveling.
    Rachel Buck, NP

    Rachel is licensed in Colorado and certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Rachel is a Colorado native raised in southern Colorado. She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and later returned to complete her Masters of Nursing. Rachel enjoys caring for individuals and families of all ages and stages. Rachel's interests include exploring the great outdoors of Colorado, hiking, traveling, volunteering, and time with her family and friends.

    Joe HazukaJoe is licensed in Colorado as a Physician Assistant and certified with the American Academy of Physician Assistants. After graduating with a degree in Microbiology from the Colorado University in 2007, he then pursued a Master of Health Sciences and Physician Assistant studies at Jefferson College in Health Sciences in Roanoke, VA. Joe began his career as an Orthopaedic Trauma PA-C upon graduating in 2012, then moved out to Colorado Springs in 2014 and has been a provider within Centura Health in the Family Practice setting since. Joe treats a wide variety of ailments within all areas of life, from infancy to those more advanced in age. He believes that communication with not only staff, but patients is crucial to having positive outcomes. He is married with 2 small children and enjoys the multitude of outdoor activities Colorado has to offer.

  • Dr. Brian Baker

    Dr. Brian Baker is a board-certified family physician. He received undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Business from the University of Denver. He spent several years as a residential counselor at the Mental Health Center of Denver, during which time he completed his pre-medical training at the University of Colorado. He earned his medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California. He then received advanced medical training at St. Anthony North Family Medicine Residency in Denver, CO. Dr. Baker is an osteopathic physician, which expands on a traditional medical degree with additional training in musculoskeletal dysfunction. He loves family medicine because “I am able to develop a lasting relationship with my patients, so we can work together on treating a full-spectrum of health issues in a way that is meaningful to them.” He specializes in preventative medicine and chronic disease management, with a scope that includes pediatrics and women’s health. Additionally, he performs minor office procedures including trigger point and joint injections, biopsies, muscle manipulation, and dry needling. Outside of the office, Dr. Baker enjoys spending time with his wife, a Colorado native, exploring Colorado as they hike, back-pack, cycle and ski.

    Albina Gadeliya MDDr. Gadeliya is board-certified in family medicine.  She received her undergraduate degree in biology with a minor in anatomy from Colorado State University in 2002 and her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University School of Medicine in 2006.  She completed her residency at St. Mary’s Family Practice in Grand Junction, Colorado and has been practicing family medicine in Colorado Springs and Monument since 2012.  She enjoys seeing a variety of patients.  Her specialties include prevention, fitness, women’s health, men’s health, sports medicine, well child exams, and caring for the whole family through all stages of life.  She enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, biking, and traveling.
    Dr. Kristin ScottDr. Scott is board-certified in family medicine. She received her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Illinois-Champaign/Urbana and her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine-Chicago. She completed her residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois. Dr. Scott practiced medicine for 16 years with Advocate Health Care in Chicago, Illinois prior to moving to Colorado. Most recently, she worked with the Advocate At Work program providing physician services to associates at JPMorgan Chase & Co. Health and Wellness Center in downtown Chicago. Dr. Scott believes in promoting healthy lifestyle practices and is experienced in caring for patients of all ages. In her time away from the office, she likes to spend time with her husband and two young children, jogging with her dog, and exploring her new home in Colorado. Dr. Scott is excited to be a part of Centura Health Physician Group Tri-Lakes Primary Care and to be a member of the local community.

  • Dr. Sipa PatelDr. Patel was born and raised in Indiana and attended Indiana University where earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. She earned her medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV. She then moved to the east coast and completed her residency at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine (formerly UMDNJ-SOM) in Stratford, NJ. Dr. Patel has continually maintained a passion for family medicine and enjoys using her osteopathic manipulation skills. She has additional special interests in women's health and dermatology.  In her spare time, she enjoys the outdoors, photography and the arts. Dr. Patel looks forward to taking care of you and your family while discovering the Colorado Springs area.
    Nick Piantanida, MD

    Dr. Piantanida is board certified in Family Medicine and holds a Certificate of Additional Qualification in Sports Medicine. He recently retired as a Colonel from the Army where he practiced for over 21 years, including two combat deployments. Dr. Piantanida graduated from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in 1993 and completed both his Family/Sports Medicine Training at DeWitt Army Community Hospital located in Northern Virginia. His practice applies a patient centered approach to ensure a collaborative discussion of both the preventive and restorative health desires of the patient. He is the Primary Care Medical Director for the CHPG SSOG and maintains volunteer affiliations with the United States Olympic Committee Sports Medicine Clinic in Colorado Springs. He is married with three teenage sons. He loves the outdoors and enjoys running, biking, swimming, skiing and hiking.

    Dr. Patricia RandDr. Patricia Rand is a board-certified family practice physician. She received her medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska, and completed a residency program in community-based family practice. Before joining Centura Health Physician Group, Dr. Rand successfully owned and operated a solo primary care practice in Colorado Springs. Dr. Rand knows the importance of partnering with her patients to establish and maintain optimal health that offers a long-term, good quality of life. She has additional special interests in diabetes, cardiac care, pulmonary care and renal disease.

    In her spare time she enjoys gardening, hiking with her dog, spending quality time with friends and skiing.

    Kristen Roff 2017 WebKristen is licensed in Colorado and certified with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She grew up in Kansas, and then earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas at Houston. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Colorado and completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. Her care philosophy is to provide compassionate, patient-centered care by focusing on the whole person while partnering with the patient to achieve and maintain wellness. Kristen's outside interests include playing the piano, traveling, reading, hiking, and spending time with her family.

  • Linda HewettFamily Nurse Practitioner Linda Hewett, MSN, FNP-C, has nearly two decades of experience in pediatrics, women’s health, geriatrics and management of complex chronic illnesses. A resident of Teller County for 25 years, Linda’s philosophy of care for her patients combines healing-oriented medicine that embraces the whole person. Linda loves rural mountain living and the opportunities of close personal ties that come with living and working in the same community. She studies Integrative Medicine in her spare time to learn new ways to promote health and loves to hike with her three dogs in the weekends.

  • Dr. Keith BodreroDr. Bodrero graduated from Utah State University with a BS in Chemistry. He did graduate studies in organic synthetic chemistry at Michigan State University and graduated with a PhD. He served in the Army and did post-doctoral work at Michigan State University before moving to St. Louis, MO where he did organic synthesis research and production development work for 9 1/2 years. He enrolled at Kirksville College of Oesteopathic Medicine and graduated in 1991. He did his internship and family practice residency training at Davenport Medical Center and at the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation being board certified in family medicine. He has practiced family medicine in Colorado Springs since 1994. Besides standard family medicine he has developed interest and expertise in holistic and alternative medicine to increase his ability to treat chronic and acute illness.
    Sarah GibsonSarah is a board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is joining CHPG Primary Care Powers. Sarah received her Masters of Science Degree in Nursing and Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Beth-El College of Nursing and Health Sciences, University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Sarah has cared for individuals and families throughout her 38 year nursing career. She takes pride in providing information, resources, and care to improve the health and well-being of her patients. Sarah believes partnering with patients is essential in assisting them to achieve their health care goals. When not in the office, Sarah enjoys reading, yard work, and traveling.
